Level 30
The level cap rises to 30. More abilities, and more of every class’s potential, to dig into.

Community Alpha Test 8

A call to arms. The gates of Adrullan open again.
This test brings a longer journey, a changing world, and a new look for its adventurers.
And in uneasy dreams across Adrullan, some have begun to hear the Whispers of Grixius, and to see a spire in the mist.
What’s new
The level cap rises to 30. More abilities, and more of every class’s potential, to dig into.

Updated elves, halflings, humans and ogres are rolling out, along with new outfits, armor and hair.

Survivors of the Great Calamity, the Elves of Solendris rebuilt themselves under a strict way of life.

Beyond the city lies the site of that terrible tragedy. Walk it and see the scars of elven hubris for yourself.

A harmonic resonance vibrates through the tallest spire of Rockgrove, beckoning creatures of every kind from across the region.
The mists of Rotwood Fen promise only uncertainty. Fortune for some. Ruin for others.
Marketplace brokers, better loot options, and a lot of class and game updates since CAT 7.
What to expect
We know it’s been far too long, and we’re incredibly excited to have you back. The team has grown, our pipelines have hardened, and we’re moving faster than ever.
This test hits some big milestones: new rendering tech, new models, the kick-off of underwater combat, a lot of class work, and another level increase. For the first time, a complete region of the world has all of its planned cities in place, connected by the Golden Road, with content tying it all together.
An Ogre from the frozen plains of the north can walk all the way to the southern tip of Amberfall. A Human of Leont can take the scenic route across the region to the Halflings of Willowbrook. It’s about a third of our initial world vision, and it puts the rest of the work into clear focus.
This is a pre-alpha test focused on how the game holds up under normal load. Expect busy starting areas, some performance swings where players bunch up, and the usual pre-alpha quirks.

Stress test
Our first test as Adrullan Online Adventures: five hours to push the server as hard as we could, with Willowbrook and the Bard class to explore and multi-boxing encouraged. The BogBot Armada gathered at the gates of Leont, and Bognar was still bored.

Flash test
A week later it was Ballast’s turn. Characters from the Tibolt flash test came along, and the Open Pre-Alpha channels opened back up.

Flash test
Tibolt opened with no set length and no agenda. Just hop in and enjoy Adrullan.

Pre-test
Tibolt opened two days early to shake out anything pressing and spread the crowd across content. Progress carried over into the test.

Flash test
Unannounced, on a Friday: the Ogre homeland of Osgul opened for the first time, Humans could play Rangers and Beastlords, and the first crafting stations went up in Leont. It went so well we kept it running through Saturday.

The server came on for a few hours to show what had changed, the same night UI 2.0 was revealed. New systems, plenty in flux, and rats to bash.

Fenla opened for a few hours one Saturday night, hinted at weeks before, to make sure the test on the 3rd went smoothly. Progress carried over into the test.
