Alpha testing
The first time the gates of Adrullan opened to the community.
On June 18, 2022, the team opened the Fenla pre-alpha server to the community for the first time.
The goal was data: how the servers held up with a real crowd of players. Content and combat feedback could wait. Even so, there was a lot to explore, and the first glimpse of how far the world had come.
From the test
The original call
This Saturday, 6/18/22, the ECO Team will be opening the Fenla Alpha server to our community! We hope you will join us in this chance to get a brief introduction to Adrullan so far!
The purpose of this test will be for us to gather important data with the increased number of players - but also for you to see the strides we have made creating our world.
Although we are excited to get everyone's thoughts on the game, the main focus is more on server performance, and not on content or combat feedback. That being said, there is tons to do and explore in game!
As we are in a very pre-alpha state, we fully expect there to be server stability issues or bugs including those we may have not previously encountered. Due to this, please understand that we may decide to limit the server connections. This will be an important first step for us to widen our servers capability to a point where we feel comfortable letting people in more often, and on a wider scale.
The test will run from (tentatively) Saturday, June 18, 2022 12:00 PM to Sunday, June 19, 2022 3:00 AM (Eastern). After the test concludes, all progress will be wiped before the next test.
Look out for a public alpha channel where you can find out how to register and grab the client.
We look forward to adventuring with you all in Adrullan!

A quick infrastructure check turned into 33 and a half hours, with 577 players at the peak. Druids, Bards and Paladins were the most played.

Stress test
Our first test as Adrullan Online Adventures: five hours to push the server as hard as we could, with Willowbrook and the Bard class to explore and multi-boxing encouraged. The BogBot Armada gathered at the gates of Leont, and Bognar was still bored.

Flash test
A week later it was Ballast’s turn. Characters from the Tibolt flash test came along, and the Open Pre-Alpha channels opened back up.

Flash test
Tibolt opened with no set length and no agenda. Just hop in and enjoy Adrullan.

Pre-test
Tibolt opened two days early to shake out anything pressing and spread the crowd across content. Progress carried over into the test.

Unannounced, on a Friday: the Ogre homeland of Osgul opened for the first time, Humans could play Rangers and Beastlords, and the first crafting stations went up in Leont. It went so well we kept it running through Saturday.

The server came on for a few hours to show what had changed, the same night UI 2.0 was revealed. New systems, plenty in flux, and rats to bash.

Pre-test
Fenla opened for a few hours one Saturday night, hinted at weeks before, to make sure the test on the 3rd went smoothly. Progress carried over into the test.
