Privacy Policy

Adrullan Online Adventures ("Adrullan," "AOA," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Adrullan Online Adventures game, account services, development tools, websites, and related Discord applications, including Senan and AOADev.

We keep data collection limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate, test, secure, and develop these services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an Adrullan Online Adventures account, we collect:

  • Username

  • Email address

  • Password credential used to authenticate your account

We do not sell account information or use it for advertising.

Game and Testing Information

Participation in pre-alpha, alpha, beta, or other testing may create game-related information associated with your account, including character information, inventory, progression, account status, and similar information required to operate the game.

In-game communications may be logged, including public chat and private tells. These logs may be reviewed for testing, moderation, security, exploit investigation, and enforcement of our testing rules.

Because Adrullan is under active development, game and testing data may be reset, modified, corrupted, or deleted at any time.

Discord Applications

We operate Discord applications including Senan and AOADev for development, community-management, patch-note, FAQ, testing, and development-operations purposes.

Depending on the feature being used, these applications may receive limited Discord API data necessary to perform that feature, such as:

  • Discord user IDs

  • Server, channel, or message IDs

  • Message metadata

  • Message content when a feature specifically requires access to that content

Our Discord applications are not used to profile users, build advertising profiles, sell Discord data, or monitor users for unrelated purposes.

Where message content is accessed, it is used only for the specific Adrullan development or community function for which the application has access.

Discord message content is not used to train artificial intelligence, machine-learning, or large-language models.

How We Use Information

We use collected information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Create and authenticate accounts

  • Operate Adrullan Online Adventures

  • Conduct closed and open testing

  • Maintain characters and game state during a testing period

  • Investigate bugs, exploits, cheating, abuse, or technical problems

  • Moderate game services

  • Provide patch notes, FAQs, tester tools, and development tools

  • Operate Senan and AOADev

  • Maintain the security and reliability of our services

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information or Discord API data.

We do not provide personal information or Discord API data to advertising networks or data brokers.

Information may be processed by infrastructure or service providers that are necessary to operate our websites, servers, email systems, databases, or other services. We may also disclose information when reasonably required by law or to protect the security of our services or users.

Discord Message Content

Our Discord applications are designed to limit message access to the functions that require it.

Where a Discord feature can operate through slash commands, buttons, direct interactions, mentions, or other Discord interaction systems without general Message Content access, we may use those methods instead.

Users who do not wish to provide message content to an Adrullan Discord application may refrain from invoking features that process message content or may contact us to request that applicable stored Discord API data be removed.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, test, secure, or develop Adrullan Online Adventures and its related services.

Pre-release game data is temporary by nature. Characters, inventories, progression, and other game information may be reset or deleted between tests and will be subject to mandatory wipes before commercial launch.

Discord API data is retained only when necessary for the application feature that uses it and is deleted when it is no longer required for that purpose.

Backups may temporarily retain deleted information until those backups are rotated or replaced.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect account information and other data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

No online service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted preservation of data.

Your Choices and Data Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information or Discord API data associated with you by contacting us.

When reasonably possible and legally permitted, we will delete information that is no longer necessary to operate the service or fulfill an applicable security or legal obligation.

Deleting information may make it impossible for us to continue providing an account or particular service to you.

Children

Adrullan Online Adventures and its related services are not intended for anyone who is below the minimum age required to use the applicable services in their jurisdiction.

Users of Discord must also comply with Discord's applicable age requirements and Terms of Service.

Third-Party Services

Our services may interact with third-party services such as Discord. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Discord's privacy practices are governed by Discord's own Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

Because Adrullan Online Adventures is under active development, our systems and this Privacy Policy may change.

We may update this policy when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on our website with its effective date.
