Our last major update marked the introduction of Local Character Awareness, transforming your character from a floating pair of weapons to a fully animated, visible, and shadow-casting entity grounding you within the world of Adrullan. This achievement required significant effort, and while we're committed to continued improvements, we are extremely proud of the outcome. Local Character Awareness was a vital stepping stone to another considerable shift; the Third-Person perspective.

With our latest update, you can now use the mousewheel to zoom in and out smoothly, transitioning between 1st and 3rd person views seamlessly. Right-clicking reorients your character towards the camera, while holding the right click allows for character steering. Rotating around the character is achieved by holding the left click. We've included various options related to Movement Snap Back and other 3rd Person Preferences under the General Options [F8] menu.
This enhancement greatly enriches player interactions within Adrullan and offers a fresh lens to explore its breadth. However, it's important to note that EverCraft is conceived as an intimate experience—cozy inns and narrow dungeons continue to be a significant part of our game. The immersive and tangible essence of First Person will be retained, and we believe our design will intuitively encourage players to toggle between perspectives as the situation demands.
This marks a significant milestone in EverCraft's development journey. We truly believe this new option only further enhances the experience and improves players immersion into Adrullan.
