0.7.6

Weather Quality Setting
In patch 0.6.0 we introduced our Weather System. The particles used in this system are leveraging some of the newest tech available on the Unity engine. This allows us to display a massive number of particles incredibly efficient on modern desktop hardware. While we intend to continue work on optimizing the systems and better supporting older hardware, we recognize that in it's current state, the weather can cause significant performance impact. To that end we have prioritized the implementation of Weather Quality Settings. You will find the Weather Quality Dropdown in the Options [F8] Menu in the Video Tab. If you are experiencing slowdowns during weather events, we encourage you to reduce or turn off the weather. We've done what we can to maintain the feel despite the quality reduction, but we will continue working on improving performance across the board.
UI Version 111
With the introduction of several new settings, we have upped our internal UI version. This means that your game options have been reset. Make sure to revisit the Options screen [F8] to reestablish you preferences and explore the new options! We apologize for the inconvenience.

0.7.0

Server Conversion to C#
Backend development began an exploratory implementation that evolved into a full conversion of the server from Node JS to C#. This work has come quite a long ways and only a few major systems remain. At this time both server can be run interchangeably.
A New Perspective
In our last major update we implemented Local Character Awareness. This took the local representation of your character from being a floating pair of weapons to being a fully animated, fully visible, fully shadow casting entity. This is, of course, a fairly major undertaking. And though we will continue to iterate and improve, we are incredibly happy and proud of the results! Local Character Awareness was always a pre-requisite on the road to yet another major shift; Third Person. With this update you are now able to zoom (mousewheel) the camera to smoothly transition between 1st and 3rd person. Right Click will reorient the character to the camera. Holding Right Click will steer the character. Holding Left Click will allow for rotating around the character. Players will find several options regarding Movement Snap Back and other 3rd Person Preferences in the General Options [F8] menu.
This is a huge step in providing the player with more ways to interact with and explore Adrullan. We do wish to note however that Adrullan Online Adventures is designed in many respects as a "homey" experience. Warm packed inns. Claustrophic dungeons. This will remain and we find ourselves shifting perspectives frequently. We hope to retain what makes Adrullan Online Adventures feel truly immersive and palatable in First Person and believe our design will naturally encourage players to utilize First Person.
Osgul
As Osgul nears "completion" considerable efforts have gone into the design, prop-ing, lighting, and content. All but the Ogre Monk are now initially playable. We anticipate possible glitches given the sheer volume of new content and kindly request players to report any issues they encounter. Additionally, we'd appreciate any reports of graphical anomalies as numerous graphical elements are being introduced in this region.

Closed Alpha Tester Note: We have added the Directional Damage Indicator to help awareness when you are under attack. A drop down selection has been add to the General section of the Options (F8) menu for the Damage Indicator Mode: None, Offscreen, All. Offscreen will only trigger the screen effect indicating damage when it has been received from the sides or behind you where the attacking entity was entirely or mostly Offscreen. This will likely be our default mode. We are, however, choosing to not reset your UI Defaults with this patch, and thus you will load to a default of None. We'd like to get feedback on this important feature so we urge you to set this value to Offscreen (or All if you'd like to try it) and Save your settings.

- b061-004 Beric the Bard gave Venomous Spiderling Silk back but still gave EXP/coin for completing the quest. Could not turn it back in for repeats.
- b061-005 Persistent cast bar after using Plainchant of Conviction
- b061-008 Sitting with chant cast bar up causes "Your spell casting was interrupted!" to pop up regularly while sitting
